More than just our happy place.

Our source of inspiration for many things, A-FRAME Brewing included, was time spent at our family's a-frame cabin on the beautiful Lake Okanagan. Days spent in the lake, in and out of the boat followed by evenings spent playing epic games of charades and capped off with stargazing & bat whispering and cheers around late night bonfires. As our family grew, so did the number of our now-cherished memories.

And so each of our affectionately named beers has a story, of a B.C. lake that inspired. Our own story began on Okanagan Lake, and fittingly so, Okanagan Lake Cream Ale became our first and beloved flagship beer. Another family wedding on Sproat Lake provided the name inspo for our next core beer and it quickly grew in popularity to fans both off and on Vancouver Island, adding Sproat Lake Pale Ale officially to our Cabin Faves list. From their after all our beers, including Shuswap Lake IPA for friends - new and old with cabins and cottage memories in the Shuswap took off, and then more recently in 2023 we added our latest Cabin Fave, Cheakamus Lake Czech Pilsner, in tribute to a lake closer to home here in the Sea to Sky. Other seasonal beers are attached to fun stories, like the obscure Laslui (Black IPA), named by one of our very first crew members as the most beautiful lake she'd seen. Each lake has a place in the hearts of those who pass through our doors or a lake we’ve never been too but we add to the list. Thankfully our beautiful home province of BC is full of lakes of all kinds, and thus we will always be dreaming up new beers to name after them all.
