Meet Our Founders & Long-haulers
jeff Oldenborger & caylin Glazier - OWNERs/Operators
First and foremost, we are a family.
We believe in community, in supporting local, in getting involved, in slowing it down and in good beer. It’s really that simple.
We wanted to create a place that welcomes everyone—just like the A-frame cabin from Jeff’s past, where you were greeted with a friendly smile, a warm hug, and a cold beer. Inspired by summers spent at the lake, gathering in cabins, soaking in life’s simple joys, and creating lasting memories, we built this space around that same spirit of togetherness. A place where slowing down feels natural, where everyone feels at home.
So bring your family. Bring your friends. Make some new ones. And raise a glass—to the everyday moments, the special days, and everything in between. It’s a privilege to be part of this community, and we’re excited to grow alongside you in the years to come…
Nine years in, and we’re still embracing every moment amongst all the ‘pivoting’, learning and hard work. Whether you’ve been with us from the start or just joined in, we’re grateful for every shared memory, every raised glass, and every new friendship.
Here’s to many more years of growing, celebrating, and making memories together. Cheers!
Current Favourite: Okanagan Lake Cream Ale & Shuswap Lake IPA
DERRICK BRAUN - brewmaster (March 2025 - present)
If you’re local you’ve likely already met Derrick at the brewery, as he came in and hit the ground brewing a few months ago! So it’s with delay, but no less enthusiasm that we get this social intro and welcome out to our new Brewmaster, Derrick.
Born and raised in Paraguay, Derrick dialled up his brewing career further in 2017 while living in Vancouver and where the city’s craft brewing scene was jumping off and showcasing just how diverse and technical brewing could be. Since then, he’s been hooked—drawn to the balance of science, creativity, and hands-on craftsmanship that every brew day brings.
As the new Brewmaster at A-FRAME, Derrick is excited to brew beers that reflect his South American influences and background, while continuing to produce our Cabin Faves. He is excited to craft more tasty Seasonals and explore some new under-the-radar styles. (Rauchbier fans, stay tuned.)
When he’s not brewing, you’ll find him enjoying live music and sports, hiking the local trails, experimenting with fermentation at home, or cooking up something delicious in the kitchen. Oh, and he’s also a certified beer judge who loves geeking out at competitions!
Excited to make Squamish home, we are stoked to warmly welcome Derrick onto our team, he is fitting in smoothly already, and into our beautiful community here in the Sea to Sky.
Cheers Derrick!
Current fave: Shuswap Lake IPA & Brewster Lake Golden Nitro
