We are proud to be annual donors of the Gord Downie & Charlie Wenjack Fund, and enjoy learning through their Legacy program, Secret Path Story and supporting the work they do bringing reparation and reconciliation to Indigenous peoples and communities with non-indigenous peoples across Canada. As part of our reparations we donate monthly to Native-Land and encourage you to visit them find out whose land you are on as well.
Doing More & Paying It Forward
At A-FRAME, you’ll often hear us say that ‘we are playing the long game’.
We have a lot of goals on where we want to be and how that will allow us to show up for our community. This is more than just a brewery or a business to us, it is part of our legacy. As we build slowly and with each challenge we overcome, we try to pay it forward just a little bit more. We are strong believers of ‘be the change’ and that we can and should all do more to help one another.
Paying It Forward is our project created to support local charities and non-profits by donating a percentage of sales from particular Merchandise or Beers or volunteering our time. We believe that this project should start within our local community and expand out from there.
We love Squamish and are proud to donate $5/item* from all our SQUAMISH merchandise on a monthly rotation to local charities and non-profits. To date ( Dec 2023), we are proud to have donated over $7,074.00 and counting to these wonderful organizations with this initiative alone since its inception in June 2020.
*Due to increasing COG prices and our commitment to sourcing ethical and sustainable manufactures, local wherever possible, we are now donating $3/item sold from all of our SQUAMISH merchandise. We hope to still make a in impact with this initiate while trying to keep our prices amenable to our patrons. Thank you for your support of us, our merch and this initiative. (Feb 2024)
We have partnered up with Squamish Pride since their inception in 2019 and proceeds of our A-FRAME Brewing Logo PRIDE Hats (and we added t-shirts too as of summer 2021) go to Squamish Pride. We are also proud to support Diversity in Brewing with their initiative to make this industry inclusive for BIPOC and/or LGBTQ2S+ and have pledged our commitment to donate $250 to their scholarship program annually. We are donors and supporters QMUNITY and the wonderful work they do and resources they provide. We look forward to the change that will come with us all working together.
Our #payingitforward program has always been important to us. We have always used majority of the profits from all our merch largely to fund our donations and #payingitforward initiatives. Effective August 2023, at least in a more ‘official capacity’, all our CABIN VIBES merch will join these efforts, on an ongoing and continuous basis, in specifically supporting Wild Fire Relief efforts across our Province.
We are fortunate to be able to live in the ‘Outdoor Recreation Capital’ of the world, and we love to give back to the organizations that are taking care of the land we all love to recreate and play on so much. We are proud to sponsor as many local events & non-profits we can. Among these include SORCA, RCMSAR, Squamish Hockey, and we have plans with the Sea to Sky Invasive Species Council (SSISC) for more ways to support our beautiful BC lakes, after which we affectionately name all our beers. We also enjoy being a Patreon of Nerdy About Nature and love learning and supporting the grass roots conservation and awareness efforts being made there by one of our first patrons and its founder, Ross, Reid.

A-FRAME + SSAR colab
Squamish Search and Rescue (SSAR) is vital to the lifestyle the vast majority of us from Squamish, and those who visit the Sea to Sky, choose to live. These dedicated volunteers work tirelessly for our safety simply because they care. The volume of calls the Squamish SAR receives annually has increased dramatically over the last few years and they respond to over 150 calls per year. We teamed up with SSAR in the release of our Box Canyon Keller Pils, where $2 from every litre sold was being donated by A-FRAME to SSAR for the purchase of new and improved swift and flat water rescue equipment. The sales of this beer have finished and A-FRAME Brewing is proud to have presented Squamish SAR with a cheque for $5,100 on May 16, 2022!
